I picked up a sample of this from a local House of Fraser, they colour match you there and then and fill you up a reasonably sized sample pot to take and try. If you are ever on the hunt for a new foundation this is definitely the best route to take. Try a few different foundations by getting samples first then purchase the one you like most. No money wasted.
So the Estee LauderDouble Wear Light claims to have a natural finish, sheer to medium coverage and 15 hours wear. I tested it.
Now I'd say this is a semi-matt foundation which means its great for combination and oily skins. This also goes hand in hand with the lasting power- I have combination skin, I apply this in the morning (with no powder) at about 6.30am and get in from work about 8.30pm. My make up still looks the same when I go to cleanse and I don't even need to powder in the day. I've never experienced this from a foundation before, it's actually amazing. Great coverage, if you have a few blemishes or redness this will cover nicely without looking flat or mask like.
Just apply small amounts at a time, and slightly more where you need more coverage.
It's also oil free, non-acnegenic, fragrance free, has SPF 10 and photo friendly.
Helena, Jenny and I assisted Andrew Gallimore once again for a freezing day in the basement of a beautiful church. Andrew created this amazing lip for Jessie, it's the best thing I've seen for ages, I'm literally in love. (The shiny plastic lashes are also a Gallimore creation)
He's so bloody good!
(Please excuse the quality of the image, it's taken from a moving video)
Jessie was brilliant, I've been following her name since - she was also on Jools Holland the other night so check that out.
Here's the video, it's really catchy..... and really sweaty ..... I love it!!
I've decided, after a very long time of short hair, that I'm now growing it. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean I want it long like the Sutherland Sisters from the 1800 - (who actually earned their living for their entire lives by performing in sideshows. They made more than $3 million from 'showing' their hair)
I simply mean I want to be able to just grab a big handful and chuck it up in a knot.
Exactly like this in fact.....
Zooey Deschanel's hair (below) is probably a bit long for me, I don't want to have to spend too much time looking after it, but this is the general feel.
However a 'done' hair that I do like, has to be Isabel Lucas, I don't normally like hair like this but the colours look amazing on her and I love the slightly bulbous crown - very much like a small child's.
I could have this and the knot, ones my updo hairstyle, ones my down hairstyle - can't wait, it'll only take about 4 years!
My attempts so far= I've cut myself a fringe, just to occupy myself whilst I'm in 'growing' stage.
Wish me luck and please please keep reminding me that I'm GROWING my hair
Okay so these are liquid doses of supplements in effective tasty blends - brilliant.
They come in Beauty, Energy and Serenity
I've been drinking the SerenityZen version, which is a mixture of phytonutrients, including berry extract, passion flower, citrus aurantium, lemon balm and hawthorn all designed to help promote a peaceful state of mind.
They are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and come in these lovely tubes which you can carry in your bag. I think they are a great idea and are super tasty.
FYI - These science based concentrated liquid supplements are only made from pure and natural active ingredients!!
