Helena, Jenny and I assisted Andrew Gallimore once again for a freezing day in the basement of a beautiful church. Andrew created this amazing lip for Jessie, it's the best thing I've seen for ages, I'm literally in love. (The shiny plastic lashes are also a Gallimore creation)
He's so bloody good!

ReplyDeleteThose spiked lips are AMAZING, are they different sizes of swarovski-type crystals applied over a metallic/glossy lip colour?
ReplyDeleteThe eye lashes are made from a glossy black plastic bag, just cut into kind of spike shapes and glued on like normal lashes. You can do this with lots of different medias, make making xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed, different sizes of crystals glued on with duo lash glue. The lip colour underneath is a black paint along the outer edge and MAC loose pigment in Platinum mixed with water to the inner area of the mouth xxxxx

ReplyDeleteDo you happen to know what swarovski they used for the edges? I've never seen Swarovskis that had that pointy-pyramid stud look to it! So cool!

ReplyDeleteYou can get the crystals in most bead shops, look for the diamond cut shaped ones and use them flat side down x
ReplyDeleteI doubled checked with Andrew and he is saying the lipstick is Ruby Woo, so it must just be the light. If you did want a similar pink have a look at Show Orchid by MAC and maybe mix the two together xx

You cant really wear it for very long or whilst eating, drinking or talking. It's just for shooting really but give it ago. If you read the comments above it might help, it's just eye lash glue and crystals xxx
